Outdoor enclosures/cabinets

Outdoor cabinets, also known as telecommunications enclosures, are distribution points that are elements of the line infrastructure. Inside, ICT devices and cabling are mounted.

The main task of cabinets is to protect the active and passive equipment installed inside against dust and harmful weather conditions, such as water, ice or external heat.  They can only be accessed by authorised persons, avoiding acts of vandalism. The cabinets also allow cables to be kept in complete order, providing protection for the network and minimising any locational electrical noise  potentially affecting the equipment.

Orderly equipment and cabling influences efficiency and ease of use and ensures that modernisation works are carried out efficiently.
